Can we all just stop down for a hot second and REEEE-JOICE the amazing-ness that is Arizona Springtime!!! Spring only lasts about 3 weeks 'round these parts, but they are a GORGEOUS 3 weeks :) Ok, time to focus on obsessions:

Every month I compile a cool little list of stuff I cannot stop telling people about. I'm one of those girls who tries something & if I love it, I. TELL. EVERYONE! So here's my list for April! Since I'm on the subject of AZ Springtime - I'll start with my FAVORITE blooming bush in all the land - Texas Ranger! If you drive on any freeway in AZ, you cannot help but see these gorgeous bursts of bright purple lining the on-ramps. They even smell good too! No matter whats going on in my day - I see these bad boys blossoming and they just make me smile!

Ok, next obsession is a result of what happens when you spend an afternoon watching Cooking Network while sorting receipts for taxes - Parm Roasted Carrot Fries w/ Chipotle Mayo... When you roast carrots they naturally become sweet and to me, these are better than sweet potato fries! I've made them 3x this past week alone, they're so addicting in the yummiest way! Bloggers, Vloggers, and Cinematographers are making and creating the most insane amazing content with their smartphones. Myself included! Now, you can have a million apps at the ready to filter and edit till your head explodes, but Moment Lenses are a total game changer! Fish-Eye, Portrait, Macro and so many other options that will blow your mind - for under $100. I'm obsessed and determined to own the entire collection STAT! Up next on the April Obsession list - Dreamcatchers with a cool ass Boho twist! Dreamcatchers originate from Native American culture, and I've long since been obsessed with their handcrafted goods, but these are a cool twist of the sacred original. Firstly, I'm a Mama to a daughter who is about a boho chic as it gets. My middle daughter Selina's whole vibe is an obsession in and of itself. She's absolutely the most beautiful Patchouli wearin, all-natural deodorant rockin, dread-lock havin -- human I know! Now, I'm not as up on the trends as Selina is, but I kept seeing these AMAZING Boho Dreamcatchers and started quite a collection!

Up Next - a book (shocker!) Ok, you knew there had to be a book on my list - or I'd lose my bookworm status! A few weeks back, I saw this guy on an episode of Super Soul Sunday, within about 5 mins I KNEW I needed to get his books. So many drops of wisdom as he sat there with Oprah under that big Oak tree. You know its good when he's making Oprah "aha" left and right! 30 seconds after the episode wrapped, I ran to Kindle and did the download dance! Comeback & Beyond hits you right in the gut from the first paragraph and keeps you locked the whole time. Its a really easy read, easy to digest and that's in large part because Tim Storey is a Life Coach, so he gets how to deliver that tough info in a really great way! Some girls like to buy LV bags & Spa Days with their money - but not this girl! This girl buys Nike's! If you saw my closet you'd think some kind of professional athlete resides here, but NOPE! Just a Mom who runs businesses in running shoes! These Nike Hombre TR Fits are badass and they scream Spring to me! I have no idea how I can keep children alive but can't keep a plant alive if you paid me! I blame it on being a Desert Dweller, we don't have much green really! And that's why I love me some succulents! You water them like once a month -- A MONTH! Even I can do that! The love the Sun and well, we have plenty of that! The other super cool thing, succulents are CHEAP so you can make a bunch of cute arrangements and they give a super cute pop of green all over your world! Ok, this next obsession was introduced to me by a few friends on Facebook and I will forever thank them! I'm 41, so drinking to get drunk isn't my thang anymore. 1 night of heavy drinking LITERALLY means a 3-day handover headache and NO ONE has time for that BS! So, grab your fave white wine & spritzer, throw in a thinly sliced cucumber and honeydew and WHABAM you have the best freaking sangria of your ever lovin life! Cucumber Melon Sangria is pretty much everything I love about Spring in a glass... or 11 depending on the day I've had :)

Listen Lindas, there is ONLY one thing better than Mexican Street Corn - and that's Mexican Street Corn SALAD-> WITH AVOCADO... Did you catch that last part? Ahh-Vo-Cahh-Do! Amazing Mexican Springtime Explosion! I mean, all you're missing in that bowl is some beachside mango bags, a Pinata and handheld sparklers and life would be complete!! This salad is literally my favorite thing, and if it wasn't for the fact that avocados are gross in the Winter, I'd eat this year round! Sometimes, you have to take it Old School... I spent a solid 10 years using this stuff religiously and then.... all the fancy shit hit shelves and I got distracted by squid ink, Mediterranean Pink Salt, Hydrolyzed Charcoal, Ugandan Tea Leaf Extract -- My God DO YOU SEE WHERE I'M HEADED HERE??? Noxzema Cold Cream is THE SHIT, it's $3.99 and 1 tub will last you 2 months, also I'm mad at myself for ever stopping its use - so April is the month I'm bringing it back, twice a day - like it's 1993! If it's Noon, you have the house to yourself and you're feeling snoozy - I have 3 words for you FAT YARN BLANKETS. They are the softest, fluffiest, fattest, comfiest (new word I just came up with mmmkay!) blankets ever in life and I WANT THEM ALL! This next obsession is brought to you by my son Rowyn, who keeps the Starbucks on Baseline Ave lights on and full of employees! He actually has no idea Starbucks is a coffee shop, he's there for the fraps, panini's and cake pops!! So, it's not a shocker that he saw the photo of their newest Crystal Ball Frap and beggggggged for it! We grabbed on last weekend (half the syrup pumps and 2% milk obvi) and he was in LOVE! He said it tasted like a peaches and cream drink that made him think of a sunset - so that's how it made the list! Gotta thank Netflix for my next obsession. Watching a movie called Tulip Fever, since Tulips are my absolute fave flower - and they kept mentioning Variegated Tulips. So, as I always do - I hit the Google like my life depended on it, and HOLY MOSES the obsession grew from there! Pictured above is the Parrot Lips, but there are over 100 different cross breeds and I'm not kidding you - they are INCREDIBLE!! Bulbs are fairly inexpensive and the care for them is a labor of love, but LOOK AT THAT BLOSSOM! Last, but certainly not least favorite - DJI Osmo 2 is a gimbal like none other. If you vlog or shoot a lot of videos - this sucker is all you need to make sure your smartphone becomes the movie camera of your dreams! No janky, glitchy, shaky camera angles - the Osmo does it ALL right in your hand in 4K UD! And it won't break the bank, which is the part I really love! Thanks to the Bluetooth technology, you can set it up and let it follow your movements so you end up being a one-man camera crew! I'm telling you - it's mind-blowing and I'm obsessed! Welp, that's how April shakes down as far as obsessions go, enough on this list to spark obsessions in you as well, I hope - So get out there and check out items on my list - the only way an obsession really counts is if it sparks the same excitement in others!
